Federal Governance is open for submission of research articles, review essays, and book reviews with a federalism or multi-level governance dimension.
Federal Governance is an international and peer-reviewed graduate journal focused on the theory and practice of federalism and multi-level governance and publishes its articles on a rolling basis online. It is the first graduate journal of federalism with an international team of editors, referees and professors. Founded at the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations at Queen’s University in Canada, Federal Governance contributes to the global dialogue on federalism with support from the Forum of Federations.
Its mandate is to engage the global federalism community and connect outstanding graduate students interested in federalism and multi-level governance. Federal Governance provides a platform for graduate students to have early peer-reviewed publications in their careers and seeks to promote and sustain interest in federalism and multi-level governance research. Federal Governance strives to create an open and accessible platform without sacrificing rigor and quality. Research articles will be subject to a double-blind peer review, conducted by an international slate of senior graduate student referees. Submissions will be judged on the basis of scholarship, quality of research and relevance to the fields of federalism and multi-level governance.
