1. Recent research by the Pew Research (PRC) center shows that in many countries there is widespread pessimism concerning the financial future of the next generation. When asked how children in their country will fare financially when they grow up, a median of 70% of adults across 19 countries say they will be worse off than their parents. This belief was shared by at least three-quarters of adults in Japan, France, Italy and Canada, and majorities in Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, Belgium, Greece, the Netherlands and South Korea. Singapore is the only country where most adults (56%) believe the next generation will be better off financially (Research Institutes on the IPSAPortal).

2. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has launched Cyber Resilience: Playbook for Public-Private Collaboration, a global platform for creating and consolidating multi-stakeholder coalitions to accelerate progress towards a sustainable digital economy. Providing indications, guidelines for public-private collaboration, and several specific policy models, the book aims to empower leaders about cybersecurity challenges and help mitigate cyber risk across the network (Thematic Networks on the IPSAPortal).

3. Open Knowledge Map is an interesting open-source project that aims to provide an effective visualization of relevant scientific publications. The maps include the first 100 documents extracted using the relevance ranking provided by PubMed API and/or the BASE API. Both mainly use text similarity between your query and the article metadata to determine the relevance. PubMed has a detailed description of their relevance ranking, while BASE uses Lucene via Solr. More than 20 institutions currently support the project, including universities and libraries (Special Collections on the IPSAPortal).
