The IGOP school hosted the first of 3 workshops on "New municipalism, democratic public ownership, and the politics of the common" funded by the Urban Studies Foundation and co-organised by Bertie Russell (IGOP-UAB), Iolanda Bianchi (University of Antwerp) and Lavinia Steinfort (TNI org).

The activities took place in Barcelona from 18 to 23 September. The week included a series of field trips, including to Can Batlló and the housing cooperatives of Cireres and La Morada; training sessions on the use of games in action research; presentations by all participants; and a collective synthesis guided by three questions: 

1. What are the ingredients that characterize 'commons-based approaches to democratic public ownership', and under what conditions can such arrangements thrive?

2. What dangers, challenges and/or shortcomings are faced in attempting to produce commons-based approaches to democratic public ownership, and how can social change actors overcome these?

3. How might commons-based approaches to democratic public ownership contribute to a radical municipalist project of systematic transformation across different scales?

We are now planning our next steps, taking a group decision on how we want to move forward and what results we wish to achieve. This will be facilitated in a further face-to-face session in Antwerp, jointly organised by the project partners.

Exposició de còmic basada en recerca IAP IGOP oberta fins a l'11 de gener de 2024

La Biblioteca Rafa Juncadella de Barcelona acollirà la Inauguració de l'exposició Cò(s)mic. Una exposició de còmic elaborada a partir de un treball d'investigació-acció participativa i intercooperatiu, del qual l'Escola de l'IGOP va col·laborar.

El treball d'identificació dels béns comuns i les històries de vida del barri han marcat l'inici d'un projecte molt més ampli, que ha desencadenat la creació de l'Obrador comunitari del còmic i narratives gràfics de Nou Barris.

Taller d'estalvi energètic a les llars, a càrrec d'Azimut 360. Un taller pràctic per aprendre a estalviar a la factura de la llum de la teva casa a partir d'accions tant col·lectives com individuals. L'activitat s'emmarca en la Comunalitat Urbana de 9 Barris de la que l'Escola de l'IGOP en forma part.

L'escola de l'IGOP renova la seva pàgina web

Aquesta nova versió inclou nombroses novetats i millores tant en disseny com en navegació, continguts i tecnologia:
La nova pàgina web s'ha reforçat visualment amb una interfície més atractiva i més ben estructurada, es reforça l'ús d'elements gràfics en un disseny adaptable a multitud de tipus de dispositius com tablets, smartphones, portàtils, ordinadors de sobretaula

L'estructuració de les seccions evoluciona i se simplifica per facilitar l'accés a les seccions principals, cosa que permet navegar fàcilment per les diferents pàgines que componen la web. Us convidem a navegar-hi i esperem que us agradi tant com a nosaltres.

Experiencias educativas de acogida académica de personas desplazadas forzosamente

En el marco de la segunda edición del Seminario en Educación para la Justicia Global, Mariana Almeida (investigadora brasileña vinculada al proyecto del IGOP-UAB) ha participado en la mesa redonda e impartido el seminario: Experiencias educativas de acogida académica de personas desplazadas forzosamente.

Dicho acto se enmarca en la Cátedra Sérgio Vieria de Mello, un convenio de ACNUR con universidades brasileñas, que busca garantizar el acceso a derechos y servicios de personas en situación de refugio en Brasil, contribuyendo al proceso de integración local.

Retos en programas de garantia de ingresos

Els recercadors predoctorals de l'IGOP Francisco Ferraioli i Llorenç Soler van participar el dijous 28 de setembre al  "Workshop sobre Retos en Programas de Garantía de Ingresos" a Casa de la Convalescència (Barcelona), organitzat pel grup de recerca GSADI-UAB.

El workshop s'organitzava en el context del projecte "INCOME-INN: Innovaciones en programas de garantía de rentas" i la seva participació va incloure presentar un article en el que estem treballant: "El non-take-up: evidencia cualitativa a partir de grupos focales. El caso del Ingreso Mínimo Vital".

Tornen les activitats
La tornada de vacances ha vingut plena d'activitat: Parking Day, festes majors, presentacions en l'àmbit de la sobirania energètica i la mobilitat sostenible, a més de l'inici de estudi sobre mobilitat comunitària en el districte, marcat per la veu de les veïnes. L'agenda del mes d'octubre està carregada d'activitats als barris de Verdum i Roquetes.

De moment ja han tingut lloc el "Taller pràctic sobre les instal·lacions fotovoltaiques", a càrrec d'Intiam Ruai, orientat a la creació d'una Comunitat Energètica (5 d'octubre) i "REC, la moneda comunitària al Mercat de Montserrat". Activitat de dinamització al Mercat de Roquetes (6 d'octubre)
