The website for the 29th IPSA World Congress of Political Science is now online! 

The 2027 IPSA World Congress of Political Science will be held at Luiss Guido Carli in Rome, Italy, from 24-28 July 2027 as a fully in-person event. Organized in collaboration with Luiss and the Società Italiana di Scienza Politica (SISP), the Congress will mark IPSA's return to Rome for the first time since 1958 and will be held under the theme Uncertain Democracies: Rethinking Governance in a Changing Global System.

The Congress website, wc2027.ipsa.org, provides information on the theme and program, important deadlines, registration fees, venue details, visa requirements, and practical information for participants. With a history spanning over two thousand years, Rome offers a unique setting for the Congress, combining world-renowned historical landmarks with a vibrant political and cultural landscape.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is committed to fostering a stimulating and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful exchange across disciplines and regions. We hope that the Congress will not only advance academic debate but also contribute to the development of lasting academic connections and collaborations.

To further promote greater inclusivity and enrich our academic discussions, IPSA introduced a new policy for the IPSA World Congress that allows participants in closed panels to present in other languages, provided that all panel members agree. Please note that only one other language (other than English, French or Italian in the case of LOC panels) should be used in the closed panel and not multiple languages. It is important to remember that all paper and panel submissions must still be written in English, French, or Italian if submitted to LOC tracks.
